On May 31, 206, the State Council, the China’s cabinet, officially declared an action plan to prevent and control its soil pollution (“the plan”). A ten solution including 231 specific terms were involved in the plan, aims to preliminary decline the soil pollution, stabilize the soil quality and present a general security environment for agricultural and construction land by 2020. However, it will take a long time to reach the goals. “We will implement these solutions step by step and eventually rehabilitate the soil” according to Mr. Qiu Qiwen, the deputy director of the soil environment management, China’s environment protection bureau.
Kiwa’s bio-fertilizers will benefit from the plan. At present, Kiwa is under the negotiation with China’s agricultural departments and anti-desertification authorities, planning to widely use Kiwa’s products in the desertification lands, helping to improve the soil quality and combat the desertification.
Kiwa’ CEO, Jimmy Zhou stated that, “the goal of the plan is highly consistent with Kiwa’s principles. China’s governments give more and more attention on soil security and enacted stiffer laws and regulations to protect the soil. This will become a long-term development strategy of China. As one of the benefiting enterprises, Kiwa will vigorously promoted its eco-friendly products and improve the sales.”
