On July 13, 2017 Kiwa’s CEO Yvonne Wang led the American team’s visit to Penglai City, Yantai District, Shandong Province, China. In addition to Kiwa’s management team, the visit to Penglai included Kiwa’s United States legal counsel Mr. Robert Diener and American investor relations advisor and global business consultant Mr. Mark Taggatz.
Penglai is not only a famous tourist city, but also a very important agricultural city in China as it continues to be one of China’s major apple, cherry and grape producing areas.
The American team had a half-day meeting with the Mayor of Penglai, Mr. Yansheng Yang. The meeting also included Penglai City director, Mr.Yi Wang who also serves as the Director and Party secretary of Penglai Agricultural Bureau.
During the visit, the team inspected Kiwa’s manufacturing facility in Penglai that is currently being developed for bio-fertilizer production. The team also visited Kiwa’s biological fertilizer test location in Penglai. At the test site area, the biological fertilizer manufactured by Kiwa showed clear results that Kiwa’s bio-fertilizer have had a very positive effect on fruit trees planting.
“The Kiwa bio-fertilizers used in Penglai have clearly played an important role in improving acidified soil, prevention and control of fruit diseases, improving fruit yield, improving fruit quality and optimizing fertilization ways,” stated Wang.
Mayor Yang expressed warm welcome and sincere thanks for Kiwa’s choice of bringing new business to Penglai. According to Mayor Yang, Penglai is situated in China’s largest wine producing area. Penglai is a great growing area of produce and planting of fruit trees is a very large business that demands organic fertilizers.
Mayor Yang said that for Kang Kang’s project, Penglai would give full support. In terms of land use, taxation and other aspects, it is anticipated that the government will provide support to Kiwa by actively promoting Kiwa’s business.
As part of the selection of doing business in Penglai, Kiwa is actively seeking incentives and investment support from the state and Shandong province.
