During the Ceremony, the representatives of the Professional Farmers Association of Zhouzhi County, Kiwa Bio-Tech (Yangling) Co., Ltd., Xi’an Branch of PICC, Shaanxi Xingyuan Yutian Meteorological Technology Co., Ltd. and Living Green, signed an agreement to establish Kiwa-Yangling Trinity Agricultural Marketing Model——Zhouzhi County eco-friendly kiwi planting project office (the Office). Mr. Xinghua Wang, the Chairman of the Professional Farmers Association of Zhouzhi County, was appointed as the Director of the Office. The representatives of Kiwa Bio-Tech, Xi’an Branch of PICC, Shaanxi Xingyuan Yutian Meteorological Technology Co., Ltd. and Living Green respectively served as Deputy Directors of the Office. Mr. Xuanjiang Song, the Director of Kiwa’s Trinity Retail Outlet Center in Zhouzhi County served as the Secretary General of the Office.
Mr. Xinghua Wang, the Chairman of the Professional Farmers Association of Zhouzhi County, stated, “Due to the excessive application of chemical fertilizers and pesticides in recent years, the quality of kiwi has declined, which has led to a negative impact on the sales and brand reputation of the Kiwi market in Zhouzhi County. Mr. Shuangpeng Zhao, Assistant Manager of Agricultural Insurance Department of Xi’an Branch of PICC, stated, “As the only insurance cooperative service provider in the implementation of the Zhouzhi Project, Xi’an Branch of PICC will provide insurance services to farmers who are planting according to the Trinity Agricultural Marketing Model, and provide no less than RMB 100 million (approximately 14.9 million USD) of insurance for the farmers of Zhouzhi Project.”
Mr. Yinhai Bian, Project Manager of Shaanxi Xingyuan Yutian Meteorological Technology Co., Ltd., stated, “Data collection, forecast analysis and information release are three important sectors of agrometeorological services. At present, our company is building a radar network in the fruit area of Zhouzhi Project. Next, our company will provide professional meteorological services to guide and assist the fruit farmers to master the relevant measures to deal with the severe weather, such as rainstorms, floods (except for government flood storage), waterlogging, wind, hail, freezing, drought, sunburn, etc., and improve the farmers’ own disaster prevention and mitigation capabilities, so as to help the steady development of the kiwi industry in Zhouzhi County.”
