(OTCQB: KWBT) (“Kiwa Bio-Tech” or “the Company”), an emerging agricultural company that develops, manufactures and sells bio-fertilizers is pleased to announce that the Company has won the bid for the project of Zhaoqing Dinghu Modern Agricultural Industrial Park in Guangdong Province. Kiwa’s microbial technology and products will now be entering the aquaculture market.
In early 2019, the Agricultural Bureau of Dinghu District, Zhaoqing City, Guangdong Province commissioned a professional tendering company to conduct an open bidding for the planning and project production and operation plan of Dinghu Modern Agricultural Industrial Park. The results of the bidding were recently publicly announced. The consortium formed by Kiwa Bio-Tech (Yangling) Co., Ltd. and the Institute of Agricultural Economics and Rural Development of the Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences (the Institute) successfully won the bid and won the bid-winning notice.
The project of the Dinghu Modern Agricultural Industrial Park covers an area of approximately 5,994 hectare. Kiwa’s microbial core technology and eco-friendly agricultural marketing model have been highly recognized by the Dinghu District Government. The successful bid showed the outstanding achievements of Kiwa’s application of microbial technology in the field of agriculture in the past 19 years, and marked the application of microbial technology of Kiwa will now extend from the very mature planting industry to the aquaculture industry.
According to the requirements of the Agricultural Bureau of Dinghu District and the production and operation plan of the project of Dinghu Modern Agricultural (aquatic breeding industry) Industrial Park compiled in the bidding documents of the consortium, Kiwa Bio-Tech will continue to participate in the investment, construction, production and operation of the project after completing the overall planning of the park as required in the tender.
The total usage amount of Kiwa’s Water Purification & Water-Cleaning Bacteria, Boutique Spores and Duolijunbao products were 570,000 liters, 60 tons and 96 tons, respectively, with sales of approximately $1,529,494 USD, $1,878,326 USD and $1,574,216 USD respectively. The total sales amount is approximately $4,982,036 USD in this project by 2020.
China has a huge aquaculture market, with an annual output of more than 30 million tons of freshwater aquaculture and more than 20 million tons of mariculture. Due to the many negative impacts of environmental pollution on China’s aquaculture industry, the Guangdong Provincial Government has started the aquaculture environmental management with the Agricultural Bureau of Zhaoqing City as a starting point to promote the aquaculture environmental management in Guangdong Province.
Furthermore, Freshwater aquaculture in China covers an area of 5.365 million hectares, including 395,000 hectares in Guangdong Province and 5,220 hectares in Zhaoqing City.

There are nearly 650,000 hectare of aquaculture area in Guangdong Province, with a total market value of about 790 million USD, and nearly 10 million hectare of aquaculture area in the whole country, with a total market value of about 12.3 billion USD.
The successful bid for the project of Dinghu Modern Agricultural Industrial Park is the first time that Kiwa won the bid in the large agricultural field led by the South China government. During the implementation of the project of Dinghu Modern Agricultural Industrial Park, Kiwa will strive to build a “Modern Agricultural Industrial Park with the whole industrial chain of eco-friendly aquatic products” by providing a new model of eco-friendly aquaculture for the aquaculture industry in Dinghu District, which marked the application of microbial technology of Kiwa will extend from the very mature planting industry to the aquaculture industry.
